Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has sent a message to his teammate Kai Havertz after he opened his goalscoring account in the 4-0 victory against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
The German international had been under pressure since joining the Gunners from Chelsea during the summer transfer window, with some of his performances thus far very underwhelming.
However, Havertz was in fine form against the Cherries, getting on the scoresheet after converting from the spot to grab the third goal for Arsenal.
The travelling fans loved his overall performance, chanting his name during the game, and he will hope to finally hit the ground running.
Odegaard was impressed with the performance of the 24-year-old, taking to Instagram to send this message to him after the game.
