A man on Thursday wrote the Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Muyiwa Adejobi, giving details about the incessant cult killings going on in the Ikotun-Igando axis of Lagos State which he said had been happening since last year.
The man, whose X handle is @the Omoboriowo_1, disclosed in his post that the various cult groups in the axis always engaged in supremacy battles which on many occasions, led to deaths while people also sustained various degrees of injuries.
He said just on Tuesday, two people were reportedly killed at the College Bus Stop at Isheri/Igando Road, adding that last month also, there was a clash between cult groups that led to killing of some people.
He told Adejobi that all through last year, the various cult groups were always out terrorizing residents of the axis while brandishing various weapons which they used to attack themselves and innocent members of the public.
He wrote:
“Sir I don’t know if you or Ben Hundeyin (Lagos State Police PRO) are aware of constant cult killings around Igando/Ikotun axis. On Tuesday, two people were killed at College Bus Stop, Isheri/Igando Road. Last month, same thing also. All through last year, cult guys have been terrorizing that axis.”
There have been incessant complaints from residents in Lagos State about the violent activities of various cult groups in many parts of the state who brandish weapons and engage in supremacy battles, leading to killings and attacks on innocent members of the public.
