Leaders of Okun, a community in Kogi State, have endorsed Mr. Victor Adoji Ododo as their preferred candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Stakeholders from Okunland in Kogi have officially endorsed Usman Ododo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, as their preferred candidate for the November 11th poll. The endorsement was made during a stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, at his palace in Kabba. Erick Fiki, a stakeholder, announced that political and opinion leaders in the area had collectively resolved to mobilize support for Ododo in the election.

Fiki noted that the decision was based on the love and support that the Yahaya Bello administration has shown to the Okun people in terms of various projects, infrastructure, and appointment. He added, “We have every reason to go in the direction of Bello, President Bola Tinubu, and the APC.”

The chairman of Ijumu LGA, echoed Fiki’s sentiment, saying, “It is a collective agreement to deliver Okunland to the APC and its gubernatorial candidate because of the many good things Mr. Bello has done for the Okun people.” He went on to say, “The people of Ijumu have resolved to stay with the APC. We have never had it this good since the creation of the state, and we have therefore decided to vote for the APC in the forthcoming governorship election.”
