The man, whose X handle is @Hon_alaonilu, disclosed in his post that some weeks ago, he came across a police officer, whose name he gave as SP Aliyu Kawunda, who is currently the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) of the Idimu Police Station.
He added that the man was a pioneer lecturer at the Kwara State University (KWASU), adding that when he asked the officer why he abandoned lecturing to join the police force, he quoted the officer as saying: “I joined police force to change the misconceptions about police.”
The man wrote: “Weeks ago, I came across SP Aliyu Kawunda, DCO, Idimu Division. He happens to be a pioneer lecturer of KWASU. So I asked him why did he join the police force. He said: ‘I joined police force to change the misconceptions about police.’ This particular statement touched me.”
