The Lagos State government has announced a three-day temporary closure of the CMD Road entrance and Isheri-Olowora slip road on the Shagamu-bound carriageway.
The government made the announcement through a statement shared through its Instagram account on Tuesday.
He said the “CMD inlet will be closed for three days for the placement of the final wearing course, beginning Wednesday, August 9, 2023.”
The “Isheri-Olowora access road on the road to Shagamu, next to the footbridge at the Berger bus stop, will be closed from Thursday, August 10, 2023 also for three days, and preparatory work will begin on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, to allow for the reconstruction of the remaining half of the outer lane of the carriageway.”
Traffic management plans
“The following traffic management plan has been earmarked for the duration of the construction works.
“Starting Thursday, August 10, 2023, all expressway traffic en route to CMD Road will have the following alternative routes;
Yo. Motorists at the Ojota Interchange will connect to CMD Road via the slip road after the FMW weighbridge to continue their travels.
ii. Motorists on Dr Nurudeen Olowopopo will connect CMD Road to the Otedola Estate.
ili Motorists heading to Isheri-Olowora who intend to exit the highway via the access before the pedestrian bridge at the Berger bus stop, will use the next New Garage exit to connect Isheri-Olowora.
“Motorists are urged to cooperate with Traffic.”
