Following the deaths of two kings in Ekiti state and one monarch in Kwara state, lawyer and Labour Party member Kenneth Okonkwo has spoken.
He claimed that all of the monarchs are of Yoruba ethnic descent and that the deaths took place during the rule of a Yoruba from the South West in a post published on his official X handle on Friday.
In a post on his X page, Kenneth Okonkwo stated that poor administration and insecurity are unaffected by a country’s geopolitical location or ethnic background.
On his X page, Kenneth Okonkwo wrote:
“Two Yoruba monarchs from South West were killed in Ekiti, South West, while one Yoruba monarch was killed in Kwara, North Central, during the reign of a Yoruba from South West. Ah! No matter the ethnicity or geopolitical zone, insecurity and poor governance persist. Never claim that you were not informed.”
