The National Youth Leader of the Labour Party, Kennedy Ahanotu, has stated that the administration of President Bola Tinubu has succeeded in taking the level of insecurity to another level because the cases of kidnappings no longer take place on the road because people are now being kidnapped inside their homes.
Kennedy Ahanotu made this known during an interview with journalists on Channels Television.
During the interview, Kennedy Ahanotu said,
“in those days, people were afraid of plying the road, but now, people are picked-up (kidnapped) from their homes, people are picked-up from their schools, mosques, and churches.”
“I think that is another level of insecurity. It is no longer on the roads or bushes. We are no longer hearing about herdsmen and farmers, we are now hearing that people are now being picked-up from the comfort of their bedroom where they are watching television with their children.
I think that we should be more responsible.”
