The Katsina State Police Command offered a reward of N50 million for information leading to the arrest of two notorious bandit kingpins, Modi Modi and Jan Kare, operating within Kankara and Safana Local Government Areas. In response to the announcement, Katsina residents have actively provided credible information, demonstrating their eagerness to contribute to enhancing security efforts in the state.

The police expressed appreciation for the overwhelming response and acknowledged the importance of community involvement in tackling criminal elements. The police spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, emphasized that the command is actively reviewing the received information to identify leads that could lead to the apprehension of the wanted criminals.

“We have been receiving an avalanche of information from the people on the two bandit kingpins and even criminals generally in the state since our bulletin was out,” Aliyu said. “The command is very appreciative of the people’s response. But, you know, we must sift through the information to bring out the one that will lead to the arrest of the bandits kingpins.”

He encouraged residents to continue providing information not only on the two bandit kingpins but on criminals generally in the state, so that the state would be rid of the criminals.
