The relocation was in line with a State High Court order issued in Port Harcourt, which allows Edison to remain the Speaker of the Assembly until the matter before the court is resolved. During the first sitting at the new location, the House elected Hon. Adolphus T. Orubienimigha as the new majority leader.
As of the time of this report, the House, led by the legally recognized speaker, Rt. Hon. Barr Ehie Edison and other members are already sitting and debating bills.
