Former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has announced his retirement from active politics, citing a growing “allergy” to the rigors of political activities.
The announcement came during the launch of “Progressive Governance,” a book chronicling the achievements of Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule. Abdullahi Tanimu wrote the book.
The former chairman launched 20 copies of the book for 1 million Naira, saying, “I am not only a retiree, but I am out of politics. I’m beginning to develop a little allergy to political activities and political speeches. So, forgive me, I will not make any political statement beyond asking for more support for the state’s governor.”
“He needs all your prayers and goodwill to succeed,” he added.
Adamu, in July, resigned as chairman of the APC.
