Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State expressed optimism that the political rift between him and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, would be resolved. Fubara made the statement on Wednesday when the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, led a military delegation to the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Governor Fubara stated that there was no problem between him and his predecessor and that if there were any internal issues, they would be resolved, and everything would go back to normal. He further added that it was not unusual for a father and son to have disagreements, but he did not think there was any problem between him and his predecessor.
General Musa, in his speech, commended Fubara for his commitment to security and promised the military’s support in maintaining peace and order in the state. He assured the governor that the military would continue to work with him to ensure that the state remains peaceful and conducive for all residents.
