In the early hours of Tuesday, gunmen kidnapped four female students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK). According to Lagos Reporters, the abducted students are Rahila Hanya (studying at SLT 100 Level), Josephine Gershon (studying Computer Science at 100 Level), Rosemary Samuel (studying Business Administration at 100 Level), and Goodness Samuel (studying Geography at 100 Level).
The Nasarawa state command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Rahman Nansel, confirmed the incident in a statement released to the press in Lafia. The gunmen reportedly invaded a house located at Angwan Kaare, Keffi, where the students were staying, at around 12:55 a.m.
The PPRO stated that the police, in collaboration with the military, responded promptly and searched the area, but no trace of the victims was found. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a manhunt for the kidnappers, with the aim of rescuing the four female students unharmed.
