Victor Ruth, a Nigerian clinical psychologist, has asked women a curious question.
He asked what a husband’s duty is in a marriage if he cannot pay hospital bills for his wife during pregnancy and childbirth.
He stated this in a Facebook post on Thursday, February 28, while reacting to posts advising women to save money during pregnancy.
“If your husband is not paying hospital bills for your pregnancy what exactly is he doing for you in the marriage? I mean children who will bear his name.
“This is not about poverty or lack, it is about honour. Some of you don’t know the difference between being a supportive wife and being an exploited wife,” he wrote.
