In a news report from Channels Television, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), reiterated his dedication to enhancing security in the nation’s capital.
Speaking to guests during the opening of the Paikon-Kore Road project in Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory, Wike underscored the determination of his administration to counter the growing dangers posed by bandits and lawbreakers in the area.
Recognising recent violent occurrences and kidnappings in the fringes of the Federal Capital Territory, Wike promised the public preventative steps.
He proclaimed,
“We are resolute in our determination to eradicate these criminal elements,” highlighting the need for unrelenting measures to restore security and tranquility.
In Wike’s words,
“We will ensure they [criminals] face the consequences of their actions. They will find no rest. He underscored a no-compromise stance, warning perpetrators of dire consequences.
I have assured you before that we are going to take this fight against headlong. Today, you can see that we are not letting them go. I told you all these criminals will run away.
We will make sure they don’t sleep again. If they say we will not sleep, they too will not sleep.
A child that says the mother will not sleep, will he sleep? So, we are taking the war to head on. Let them wait for us, they will see fire for fire.”
