According to The Nation, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing the Ondo South Senatorial District has reaffirmed his confidence in his ability to secure victory in the upcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State, claiming superior knowledge of winning strategies compared to other candidates. Speaking at a media parley in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Senator Ibrahim expressed optimism in his “Aseyori, breakthrough” strategy, which he believes will propel him to success in both the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries and the subsequent main governorship election.
While talking about his approach to campaigning, Senator Ibrahim maintained a stance of respect towards other candidates, stating that he does not undermine fellow aspirants but focuses solely on articulating his own agenda.
He highlighted his preparedness by referencing his past senatorial election campaign, which he claimed was self-funded without facing legal challenges.
Looking ahead to the gubernatorial race, Senator Ibrahim outlined his plans for governance, detailing a booklet that will outline his proposed initiatives for the first six months and subsequent periods.
He stressed his commitment to addressing the state’s electricity challenges, stating that he does not require external consultations with agencies such as the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) to deliver tangible results.
While talking about his educational background, Senator Ibrahim referenced his studies at Cambridge University, where he claimed exposure to innovative energy solutions such as wind and solar power.
He suggested the possibility of implementing similar renewable energy projects, including solar farms, to address Ondo State’s electricity needs.
