Stella Okotete, the Executive Director of Business Development at the Nigeria Export-Import (NEXIM) Bank, recently addressed her disqualification as a ministerial nominee by the Senate.
In an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast, Okotete challenged the Senate’s decision, stating that she welcomes scrutiny of her certificates. She urged anyone with concerns to check her certificates online on her website. Okotete expressed her readiness to face any legal consequences and vowed to resign if any discrepancies were found with her certificates.
In Okotete’s words: “That was the submission we learned the Senate President threw to the floor of the Senate after screening, but that is not the true picture. I put it to the Nigerian Senate and the Nigerian populace, please if you have any issues with my certificate, it is online, it is on my website, please bring it up to me. I am ready to face the law and resign from my position if my certificate is found wanting”
