Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Uriel Oputa has taken to social media to lament with regards to the devaluation of the Naira currency.
She revealed that 1 million Naira which equals 500 pounds cannot even be used to rent a house in the United Kingdom for a period of one month.
The brand influencer who lamented about such issue through her official Instagram story, disclosed that she changed the Naira for another currency today and she realized that she cannot continue with the way she has been living her life, because she felt as if she was broke.
Speaking further, Uriel Oputa stated that the current Naira exchange is so sad and she is actually thinking of opening her own business after her course in the United kingdom, adding that how can 1 million Naira be equivalent to 500 pounds and it is not even enough to pay for 1 month’s rent in the United Kingdom.
Uriel Oputa wrote;
“I changed money today and I realised I can’t continue like this. Like I felt broke.
It’s so sad, I’m actually thinking of opening my business after my course in the UK. Actually really pained.
“How can 1M be £500. That’s not even enough to pay one month’s rent in the UK. Anyways I have faith for change.”
