Five persons were killed by unknown gunmen on Sunday, August 6, in Nchya village of Mangu district in Mangu Local Government of Plateau state. Eyewitnesses told The Nation that the villagers were killed around 1:00am. Speaking to the publication, an eyewitness, Joshua Musa said members of the community moved the corpses in a pickup vehicle to Mangu town leading to mass protests in Mangu town.
