In his speech, Khamenei emphasised that the resolution of the dispute between Israel and the Palestinian people is contingent upon the return of Palestine to the Palestinian people, who are the legal owners of Gaza.
In his words, he said; “Even if they try for another 30 years, the US and Europe won’t be able to keep the Zionist regime in power and nothing will be solved. The problem will be solved when Palestine is returned to its rightful owners, the Palestinian people.”
In the midst of continued efforts by Western powers to assist and sustain the Israeli occupation of Palestinian areas, the words made by the Supreme Leader come at a time when tensions in the region continue to be persistent. Asserting that the primary problem at hand is still the Palestinian people’s demand for sovereignty over their homeland, Khamenei ridiculed the idea that prolonged external support may serve to preserve the existence of the Zionist regime during his speech.
The remark made by Khamenei emphasised Iran’s steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause and its rejection of external initiatives that are intended to maintain the status quo. As a result of the Supreme Leader’s affirmation of the inevitability of Palestinian sovereignty, the narrative that the Zionist regime’s dominance can be maintained in spite of historical injustices and worldwide criticism is called into question.
