In a letter addressed to the chairman of the party in Ward 4, Owan West local government area of Edo State, Mrs. Victoria Amu, announced her decision to step down from her position within the APC.
She cited family and personal reasons as the motivation behind her resignation.
Despite her departure from the party, Amu expressed gratitude to the APC for the opportunities it had offered her in the past.
She specifically mentioned her roles as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Social Mobilization under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s administration, as well as her tenure as SSA to Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Amu highlighted her active involvement in previous electoral contests under the APC banner, including runs for the House of Assembly in 2022 and the recent governorship race in 2024.
In her letter, Amu appealed to her friends, supporters, and well-wishers to respect her decision, which she described as important for the future of Edo State.
