In a video posted by AIT News, a man who got battered by officers of the Community Protection Guards (CPG have recounted his ordeal in the incident.
The victim, whose name was undisclosed, narrated how the CPG personnel picked him up at about 2:30 p.m. and returned on Sunday by 3 p.m.
In reaction to this, Senator Kabir Marafa, representing Zamfara Central Senatorial, condemned the act.
He also questioned if the law establishing the CGP gave the security guards the power to detain and torture an individual.

In the video, the victim said, “Personnel of the Community Protection Guards CPG picked me up last Saturday at about 2:30pm until Sunday at about 3:00pm; they released me.”.
