The statement advises residents of Kano to remain patriotic and avoid engaging in any form of unlawful gathering, protests, or processions, as these have the potential to incite violence in the state. The police have assured residents that adequate security measures have been put in place to protect lives and properties.
According to credible information at the command’s disposal, some groups claiming to be supporters of both NNPP and APC are mobilizing people through various media platforms with the intention of staging a protest on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 against the Kano State Governorship Appeal Court’s verdict. The protesters plan to shut down the state and attack prominent political party opponents, which may result in violence, the statement notes.
