The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Barrister Benedict Daudu as his Senior Special Assistant on Legal and Multi-Lateral Cooperation. Benedict is the son of Joseph Daudu (SAN), a former National President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA). The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced by Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), in an official statement on Tuesday.
According to Ogunleye, Benedict was appointed because of his outstanding legal expertise, extensive academic background, and profound understanding of key policy issues. Joseph Daudu is a prominent Nigerian Jurist, Bencher, and the Principal Partner of J B Daudu and Co. He is from Ogori-Magongo local government area of Kogi State and was called to the bar in 1980. He attained the rank of SAN in 1995.
Earlier, Wike had appointed Aminu Masari, the son of a former Katsina state governor, as one of the Mandate Secretaries in the FCTA.
