Ahead of the Appeal Court’s verdict on the gubernatorial election dispute in Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi Sule has issued a statement urging stakeholders and supporters to maintain peace and refrain from making provocative comments.
In the statement released on Wednesday evening, Governor Sule expressed his willingness to accept the court’s verdict and stressed the importance of unity, peace, and development for the state. He called on the people of Nasarawa State to prioritize the well-being of the state over personal interests and emphasized his unwavering faith in the judiciary as the ultimate defender of the common man.
The governor also requested continued prayers for victory and urged everyone to embrace the spirit of forgiveness even in the face of adversity. He further announced the deployment of security operatives to strategic locations to ensure the maintenance of peace and order, warning that anyone caught causing trouble will be dealt with accordingly.
The verdict of the Appeal Court on the Nasarawa State gubernatorial election is expected to be delivered today, Thursday, November 23.
