The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dismissed all appointees that were hired by his predecessor, Late Rotimi Akeredolu. This decision was announced in a statement released on Wednesday by the governor’s spokesperson, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure.
The statement directs all members of the Cabinet to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices. Additionally, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are relieved of their duties, effective immediately. The officials affected by the directive have been instructed to hand over all government properties without delay.
“The Governor thanks the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State.”
Lagos Reporters reports that most of Akeredolu’s appointees had earlier resigned their appointments after the passing of the former governor.
