Ololade Adesina, boy who got 9A in WAEC 2023, wins 15 prizes at college graduation ceremony on Friday in Ilorin.
Ololade Adesina, who scored nine 9A’s in the 2023 West African Examination Council (WAEC), won 15 awards at the 15th Rehoboth College, Ilorin graduation ceremony on Friday. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adesina received the best student award in Computer Science, Civics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, among others.

He also won Mr. Adimula’s award for Best in Mathematics and English Language; Ifeoluwa Tomiwa Makinde Award for Best General Student; Mr. Alaofin’s award for Best Chemistry Student; Mr. and Mrs. Makinwa’s award for Best Economics Student, as well as Mr. Àjàyí’s award for Rehoboth College’s Best Graduate Student.
In her farewell speech, Adesina thanked the teaching staff for their commitment to the academic success of their students.
He stated that his excellent performance in the WASSCE exams, in which he scored nine A1s, would not have been possible without the tenacity and tireless effort of all the teaching staff.
The outgoing head of the university said the school’s zero tolerance for bad practice in both internal and external exams, a policy he said leaves no room for laziness, was the boost he needed to succeed.
The event, which was attended by several dignitaries, also commemorated the 20th year of Rehoboth College’s founding.
While thanking God for the successful completion of the academic year, the school’s owner, Sam Popoola, noted that the school has continued to make progress in its bid to become the preferred school in Kwara.
He added that the performance of both Junior and Senior students in external exams such as wassceNECO and JAMB were excellent culminating in Mr. Adesina’s scoring nine A1’s in all subjects offered.

Alfred Adegoke, noted Education teacher and Chairman of the Rehoboth Schools Board of Directors; In his goodwill message, he agreed with the owner that the growth the school has registered is highly commendable.
Adegoke praised the efforts of the school’s teaching staff and management, saying the school is destined for greatness in light of recent academic achievements.
He challenged the teaching staff to break more records and recalled that one of Rehoboth College’s alumni, Dada Omotayo, also emerged as the Best Nigerian Law School Graduate Student in 2022.
