Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola says online bullying pushed her to publicly support President Tinubu during the last election.
She made the revelation during an interview with Chude.
Nigerians attacked people over their political choices, and that annoyed her enough to speak up.
Seeing veteran actress Joke Silva get bullied for supporting Tinubu also influenced her decision.
People said inhumane things about Silva.
So Akintola made a video declaring her own support for Tinubu.
“I’m supporting Tinubu, kill me and see if you can change my mind,” she said.
Akintola is calling on Nigerians to respect different political views.
Let people make their own choices, she said.
“Don’t bully others. We have the right to differences of opinion.
You don’t like this man, that’s fine.
You prefer someone else, that’s fine too.
But don’t bully people for their choices,” she added.
“I supported President Bola Tinubu during the last election because someone annøyed me with their bûlly!ng. Everyone has the right to choose who they want.”
