A councillorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Zamfara state, Hon. Kamilu Sa’idu Wuya, has been killed by bandits.
It was gathered that bandits blocked Gusau-Mayanchi road on Saturday, October 19, 2024, and intercepted a vehicle carrying Hon. Wuya, and his entourage.
The group was returning to Wuya village in Anka Local Government Area of the state, after purchasing a PDP nomination form.
The bandits shot the aspirant in the leg, left him behind and abducted all members of his entourage.
Wuya succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment in a hospital.
