The Ghana Football Association has claimed that Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has sustained an injury.
The 30-year-old has been left out of the squad to play in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Central African Republic during the international break.
“Arsenal ace Thomas Partey is left out of the Ghana squad due to injury,” claimed the Ghana FA on their official website.
“According to his club, the player picked up an injury in training and could be on the sidelines for a while.
“However, the Black Stars medical teams is monitoring the situation.”
The Gunners star will miss the game against Manchester United going by the reports, which would be a blow given that he has started all the three Premier League games Arsenal have played so far in 2023-24.
Partey featured at right-back against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Fulham, starting the first two games. He was withdrawn after 56 minutes against the Craven Cottage side, with Oleksandr Zinchenko coming on, and Takehiro Tomiyasu could be deployed at right-back against the Red Devils.
