Brigadier Nwachukwu said the brave troops, together with the Hybrid Force, freed 14 hostages, including six women and eight children, in a clearing operation in Gobara village in Gwoza local government area in Born on Saturday.
He said that troops from Task Force 82 Battalion, together with the Hybrid Force, stormed the BHT enclave in Gava village in Borno Gwoza Local Government Area and rescued 11 civilians in a similar operation on Sunday.
According to his words, all the rescued victims are in the custody of the troops and are subject to profiling.
The army spokesman said seven members of the Boko Haram family surrendered to troops from the 81st Division Task Force Battalion in the Dikwa local government area of Borno in a separate operation on Sunday.
“In an anti-banditry operation in Kaduna State on Sunday, troops from the 2nd Battalion of the Nigerian Army, acting on actionable information, neutralized a criminal and freed four kidnapping victims in the village of Kwana Shehu. in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.
“Since then, the rescued victims have been reunited with their families.
“The public is requested to support the troops with credible information to enhance ongoing operations across the country,” he said.
