A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has criticized the recent attacks on President Bola Tinubu. He spoke in Osogbo on Sunday, urging opposition parties to stop criticizing Tinubu over the rise of violent crimes in the country. Instead of criticism that could cause distraction, Oyintiloye said Tinubu should be supported as he seeks a solution to the challenge.
Oyintiloye emphasized that nobody is happy with the recent killings, banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping in the country. However, negative criticism and name-calling by the leaders of opposition parties are not the way forward. He called on stakeholders to come together, irrespective of their political affiliation, religion, or tribe and give the present administration the needed boost and encouragement.
According to Oyintiloye, security is a collective responsibility of everyone, and leaders of opposition parties should stop playing cheap politics with security issues that could divide the country.
