Senate President Godswill Akpabio has assured citizens that Nigeria will soon defeat its security challenges, while praising President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms for strengthening the banking sector.
Speaking in support of the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda, Akpabio explained that security forces are now actively raiding criminal hideouts rather than just reacting to attacks.
However, he emphasized that military action alone is not enough, calling on communities to share timely information with security personnel to help end the violence.
On the economy, Akpabio stated that recent banking reforms and recapitalization efforts have made the financial sector safer, preventing sudden bank collapses and protecting depositors’ money.
While acknowledging the current financial hardship facing many households, he maintained that these sacrifices are necessary to build a stronger economic foundation.
