Members of the Market Women and Men’s Association of Nigeria in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have donated food items to the First Lady, Senator Olufemi Tinubu. The donated foodstuff includes yam, tomatoes, pepper, and onions.
The President of the association, Felicia Sani, presented the foodstuffs to formally welcome the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to the FCT. The donation is also to formally adopt Mrs. Tinubu as a member of the association following her positive contribution to the well-being of women nationwide.
According to Felicia Sani, market women and men, under the Tinubu-led administration, have been excelling in their businesses due to the peaceful environment provided since his assumption of office. She urged the First Lady to continue to support market women with the needed resources at all levels to enable them to expand their businesses across the country.
The Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs of the FCTA, Mrs. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi, represented by the Assistant Director in the secretariat, Joy Okosa, received the foodstuffs on behalf of the First Lady. She commended them for the donation and pledged the administration’s continued support for their well-being.
