The Chief Spokesperson of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LP-PCC), Dr. Yunusa Tanko, recently accused the President Bola Tinubu-led administration of causing pain to the Nigerian people through its various policies since taking office in May. According to Dr. Tanko, Nigerians have been suffering badly ever since Tinubu came to power, which contradicts the true principles of leadership. He made these remarks in a recent interview with the Nigerian Tribune.
Dr. Tanko further stated that the Tinubu-led government has been ruling the country with impunity, believing that they have the power to do whatever they want. This, according to him, is a clear indication of the way they are running the government, which is causing pain to the people and greatly negating the principles of leadership. He believes that government officials do not even understand the word “Governance” and feel that as long as they can use their wealth or force, they can do anything.
Unfortunately, Dr. Tanko also stated that the Nigerian judiciary has been bought over, as well as the INEC, leaving only the military as the sole institution that seems to be responsible to the people and not the government officeholders.
