On Friday in Abeokuta, political party members who claimed to be loyal to former Governor Ibikunle Amosun rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state.
The members were from the 20 local government areas (LGAs) in the state and were received by the current governor, Dapo Abiodun, at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta.
Governor Abiodun commended the members for their loyalty and steadfastness, emphasizing the importance of promoting and entrenching a culture of loyalty.
He urged all members to work together towards the socio-economic development of the state and put past disagreements behind them. The State Chairman of APC, Yemi Sanusi, also emphasized the importance of peaceful conflict resolution and urged the returnees to integrate with other party members.
The leader of the group of returnees, Derin Adebiyi, expressed gratitude to the governor and the party for welcoming them back and stated their commitment to contributing to the development of the party and the state.
