A respected politician in Edo State, Andrew Emwanta, has spoken concerning the issues arising from the recent governorship primaries of the APC in Edo State. Speaking on AIT, the former Edo commissioner discussed the role of the president in handling the challenges facing his party
Addressing the topic, Emwanta said,
“Tinubu must rise to the occasion; this is not the democracy he claims he fought for. He is the commander-in-chief and the chief security officer of this country. The people who brutalized jounalists and INEC officials should be brought to book. They are not spirits. As the commander in chief, the president must call these people to order. They came with armed thugs.
He continued,
“We talk of insecurity, and nothing is being done. Until the president takes issues of this kind involving his party seriously, Nigerians will not take him seriously. I feel bitter because Edo is always in the news for ‘bad’ reasons.
