The Northern Traditional Council, NTC, led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar have noted that the problems insecurity, unemployment and hunger in the country are getting out of hand, noting that things are getting to a level that the traditional rulers will no longer be able to pacify the people from revolting against the government and political leaders that supposed to find solutions to these problems.
According to Vanguard, the Northern Traditional Council, NTC, made this disclosure through its leader, the Sultan of Sokoto, when he was speaking at the Arewa House, Kaduna during the 6th executive Northern Traditional Council committee meeting.
He said
: “It is getting to a level that traditional leaders could no longer pacify the people from revolting against government and political leaders that supposed to find solutions to their lingering socio-economic plight.”
Furthermore, he urged Nigerian politicians not to take Nigerians for granted, noting that people are quiet because people have been talking to them. He went on and noted that they (traditional rulers) have been trying to tell the people that things will be okay and they keep on believing, noting that he prays that the people will not one day wake up and say they no longer believe in what they have been telling them.
In addition, Sultan of Sokoto made it known that Nigerians are very hungry and angry, due to high level of insecurity, hunger and unemployment in the country. He thereby urged the government to do something urgently before things get out of hand.
