A chieftain of the APC, Jesutega Onokpasa, has told Nigerians that their president is working to bring succor to them, but they should exercise patience.
The prominent party member said this on AIT while addressing the rising cost of food across Nigeria and the emerging protests about the cost of living.
Addressing the topic, Onokpasa said,
“I appeal to my fellow citizens that President Tinubu feels the pain of Nigerians, and he is working to bring succor to them.
Let everyone be a bit patient. The price of food will gradually come down soon. Another thing is that President Tinubu is trying to fast-track the wage increase process and ensure that it applies across the board.
However, even in the case of domestic servants, you should pay them living wages.
He added,
“We cannot keep focusing on the government and the president. For example, what is President Tinubu supposed to do if people are not being paid the proper salaries that their employer ought to be able to afford due to the turnover they bring in?
