A man has written the Lagos State Police Command, narrating how those he called “fake house agents” allegedly defrauded him of the sum of N3.5 million meant for payment of rent.
He also alleged that when he reported the matter at the Ilasan Police Station, Lekki, the officers there attempted to sabotage the case.
But reacting to the man’s complaint, the state police command, through its Complaint Response Unit, urged him to send a direct message to its X platform and give details of the matter in order to swiftly act on it.
The man, whose X handle is @ThisIsRollo, disclosed in his posts that he met some house agents and after promising him to get an apartment in the Lekki area of the state, he was allegedly defrauded of the sum of N3.5 million.
He also stated that he had been doing everything possible so as to get his money back and this made him to report the matter at the Ilasan Police Station.
He however alleged that policemen at the station were trying to sabotage the case, adding that his efforts to apprehend a member of the syndicate had proved abortive due to the alleged attitude of the police officers at the station.
