The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has expressed apprehension over a statement made by the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olanipekun Olukoyede, regarding his intention to pursue investigations within the presidency, judiciary, and legislative arms of the government.
Oba Ogunwusi’s concerns were expressed in response to a video shared on YouTube by Channels TV, where the EFCC Chairman outlined his determination to make a positive impact.
While acknowledging the chairman’s stated intention to address corruption and make a significant impact, Oba Ogunwusi urged caution.
The monarch emphasized the need for the EFCC Chairman to tread carefully in his pursuit of justice, considering the sensitive nature of his targets within the presidency, judiciary, and legislative arms.
Oba Ogunwusi expressed a commitment to pray for the EFCC Chairman and acknowledged the challenges that come with attempting to make a transformative impact in the fight against corruption.

Some people have been there before him but how did they end?. They tried to do certain things, maybe listened to their leaders and masters that put them there. I will pray for him, I mean it.
