President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, strongly opposed the unjust stereotyping of Nigerians as inherently corrupt during a forum organized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja.
Tinubu commended the EFCC for its role as a moral compass and criticized the unfairness of labeling all Nigerians corrupt based on the actions of a few. He emphasized the nation’s diverse and resilient population, rejecting blanket mislabeling.
Tinubu acknowledged the global threat of cybercrimes, expressing government support for the EFCC’s efforts.
He highlighted the establishment of a Students Loan Board to discourage unlawful activities among the youth and encouraged lawful opportunities for national prosperity.
Tinubu called on religious leaders and MDAs to collaborate with the EFCC for effective governance.
