The former spokesman for the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Sowunmi,
has insisted that the appointments made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu were not based on competence;
as he revealed that he has been seeing some negative things on the internet about the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Segun Sowunmi had said,
The kinds of things I’m hearing around Gbajabiamila, national.. chief security — the Chief of Staff, the internet is filled with it, some of them may be rumours, some of them are things that are still being investigated.
But I was here with you when they were asking me, and I was saying, that capacity to do that job does not exist there, and it has nothing personal to do with him; he’s my brother; he’s my friend, I like him, I like the fact that he has done a lot of things in Lagos.”
Sowunmi, who spoke during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, said he had noted that Gbajabiamila does not have the capacity to be the President’s Chief of Staff.
