Tragic Murder of Mother and Daughter by Alleged Prophet Shocks Limpopo Community

The tight-knit community of Oaks Village under Maruleng municipality in Limpopo mourned the loss of a mother and daughter who tragically lost their lives in a brutal incident of rape and murder. The funeral service for Teiwa and Kgaogelo Malepe was held yesterday, leaving the community grief-stricken and seeking justice for the victims.
According to the police reports, the heinous act took place in the early hours of December 30, 2023, when the two victims were attacked in their home. Teiwa’s sister, who made the distressing discovery, shared that her sister revealed before she passed away that they had been stabbed by a 35-year-old suspect, who was believed to be a self-proclaimed prophet.
The lifeless body of 20-year-old Kgaogelo was found in the sitting room with stab wounds on her neck, indicating signs of sexual assault. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries. During the investigation, authorities also discovered the youngest Malepe sibling, a five-year-old boy, bound with tape in his room, having narrowly escaped the grasp of the assailant.
