Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the 2023 Lagos Gubernatorial Candidate for the Labour Party, has launched a healthcare outreach initiative to address the increasing challenges of accessing affordable healthcare. The outreach aims to provide Health Insurance Cards to thousands of residents in the state to ensure better healthcare access for those struggling with soaring medical care expenses.
The outreach went beyond just distributing cards. It offered a comprehensive range of critical medical services to the local populace, including free medical consultations, treatments, and dispensing of essential medicines. The scope of healthcare services offered during the outreach was notably comprehensive, encompassing general check-ups, diagnosis and treatment of prevalent ailments, maternal and child health services, and dental care, catering to a wide range of healthcare needs within the community.
Rhodes-Vivour shared photos of the initiative on his social media page, highlighting the importance of preventative medicine, data-driven AI-empowered diagnostics, a network of pharmacies combined with telemedicine, and quality well-equipped healthcare centers in each ward. He emphasized that with the rising cost of medication, every little bit helps.
