A video has surfaced online showing security officers firing teargas and dispersing water at Simi Fubara, the governor of Rivers state, as he walked towards the State House of Assembly to inspect the burnt House of Assembly. The governor and his supporters were teargassed, but they ignored the attacks and proceeded to the burnt lawmakers’ complex.
This incident occurred amidst reports that the state House of Assembly is planning to impeach Governor Fubara today, October 30.
