Praise singer Rarara says that Tinubu’s first 100 days in office were better than former President Buhari’s eight years in office.

Dauda ‘Rarara’ Kahutu, a popular Hausa musician known for singing praises of Muhammadu Buhari, has recently stated that President Bola Tinubu’s first 100 days in office were better than Buhari’s eight-year tenure. Rarara claimed that Tinubu’s administration managed to enhance the security of the Kano-Abuja road, which had been in a poor state for seven years under Buhari’s presidency. According to him, the road has been secure for the past three months thanks to the measures taken by Tinubu’s government, which were not publicized.

Despite the increased killings by bandits in some states, which the Peoples Gazette reported shortly after Tinubu assumed office, Rarara insists that the current president’s tenure is better than Buhari’s, which he believes destroyed the country. In contrast, Buhari claimed that he stabilized the economy, curbed corruption, and ensured security.

Rarara’s criticisms of Buhari’s regime and praise for Tinubu’s government come amid economic hardships caused by the fuel subsidy removal by the president. While analysts have praised Tinubu’s decision to scrap fuel subsidies, the policy has caused fuel prices to skyrocket, inflation to rise and food prices to soar. The president has admitted that the suffering of Nigerians has increased due to his government’s policy.
