Police in Anambra State have arrested a 19 year old man, Mustapha Sani, for allegedly stealing an Infinix Android phone in Adamawa State.

The arrest took place in Awka on October 19.

Operatives from the State Intelligence Department carried out the operation.

Police say Sani took phones from people in Adamawa and then fled to Anambra.

He reportedly planned to sell the phone or use it himself.

The phone has been recovered, and police plan to return it to its owner.

They are still looking into the case to find out what else he may have done and whether anyone helped him.

Commissioner of Police Nnanna Ama says the command will keep up its work to fight crime and protect residents.
