Mbarushimana Damour is a 12-year-old boy who was born with a skin disorder. According to his father; When he was first born, the people thought he was a devil and got scared.
The doctors advised his parents to take him to a well-known and advanced hospital but the charges were high and they couldn’t afford that kind of money so they opted for herbal medicine to no avail.
Damour’s skin is hard as stone and it often gets very hot, therefore due to this people are not allowed to touch him. Sometimes his body becomes too hot that his father has to pour cold water on him to cool him.
Due to his skin condition, Damour cannot enjoy his childhood, like playing with kids his age. Some even bully him and call him names like frogs.
Damour skin is getting rougher and hotter as he gets older, his parents although they want to help, they can’t all they can do is worry about what will become of their son.
