According to Sahara reporters, Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has asserted that the administration of President Bola Tinubu lacks clarity on the potential charges against the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele. Akpabio, who previously served as the Minister of Niger Delta, attributed the prevailing hunger in Nigeria to the actions and policies implemented during Emefiele’s tenure as the head of the apex bank. Speaking in a video of a church program shared by Channels Television on Sunday, Akpabio highlighted the economic challenges inherited by their administration, emphasizing the need for patience amid the country’s severe economic hardships.
Akpabio acknowledged the dire economic situation the administration encountered upon assuming office, describing it as a “collapsed economy.”
