Former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu has met with his successor, ex-Governor T.A. Orji, as both politicians seek to forge a united front ahead of the 2027 governorship race, with the aim of unseating incumbent Governor Alex Otti.
In a video circulating online, the two former governors were seen together in Umuahia alongside supporters, where they pledged their loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and chanted “on your mandate,” a signature political slogan associated with pro-Tinubu mobilisation.
